When darkness calls
I hear my name.
And upon every calling
it feels the same.
When the moon is full
deep within the dreary night.
My mind becomes lost
and I begin to lose sight.
The echoes of my past
keep reaching at my soul.
Taking over my sanity,
making me pay the toll.
Whispers in the air,
compulsive and deceiving.
Not knowing at all
what nightmarish plan they're conceiving.
Running through a labyrinth
where there seems to be no escape.
My spirit is imprisoned
and it's there for the take.
So when the dark shade of night
begins to unfold and fall.
I sit and wait nervously
for the darkness to call.
