Most embarassing moment
embarassing moment
Quite a few years ago, when stephen was in kindergarden
I went to parent teacher confrence. I was excited because it was the first one Ive ever
gone too, I couldnt wait to hear what the teacher had to say about him.
I walked into the classroom and sat down.
She pulled out a folder full of papers and set them in front of me.
Then she proceeded to tell me how wonderful stephen was.. what a joy he was to have in the class.
I was so proud, of course.
Then she went on to tell me that he was a little hyper.. and that sometimes he couldnt
hold still to save his life... I knew this about him already. He was a hyper child.
She then told me that he was a little clutzy... of course I knew this also..
Sometimes, she said, it was disruptive to the class.
As she was telling me how clumsy my kid was.. my contact fell out of my eye..
and then I whacked myself in the head with my car keys... and then the folder that she
handed me... well, I dropped it on the floor, sending paper flying everywhere!
I was so embarassed.
Mrs. Hart-Davis now knew where Stephen got it from.
When it was over she walked me to the front door of the school and we said our good byes.
I pushed the handle on the door and proceeded to walk out.. forgetting there was a
step on the other side of the door... I started to fall..
I grabbed onto the handle of the door with both hands.
I then swung around with my back to the ground, I was hanging there.
To get up, I was forced to let go of the handle and drop to the ground.. the whole time
the door was trying to close on me...
I let go of the handle and was now lying on my back. I rolled over to my knees.. trying to keep the door open.. I crawled out of the way.
I then stood up..
And there I was, standing outside the front doors of the school.. and there were
parents everywhere.. chatting.. looking at me like I was a retard. I looked back and
saw the teacher still standing inside the school, looking at me the same way the others were looking at me.
I put my head down and headed towards my car.. not looking up.. until I was
centemeters away from running into the flagpole.. luckily I looked up just in time.
I got into my car without looking back.
And that my friends, is my most embarassing moment
