Nyght Flyght
They dry their gossamer wings together.... They have starlight dreams to gather... They spread their glistening wings tonight... In anticipation of mid-night flight.
Perfect moonlight softly glowing... Majik dreamscape filled with knowing... Both have spent a lifetime waiting... Longing for this joyous mating.
Ancient knowlege freely given... To those who's souls are only driven... By purity and best intentions... Those who seek divine ascension.
So like children they gather here... Their balance masters their mortal fear. The Goddess in her wisdom blesses... Arcane chants and love's caresses.
Silken night breeze holds her breath... Suspended now 'tween flight and death... Their care-worn hearts choose sweet release... Ascending as their fears decrease.
Embracing as they fly together... Soaring above the streams and heather... Goddess weeps at such perfection... She takes them under her wise protection.
These brave seekers of aether's gift... Ride sly night-currents as they shift... Between this plane and that beyond... Sweet laughter as new dreams are spawned.
Brief thanks they give to one who cared... One who knew what could be shared... They giggle as they fly away... Will they return...no one can say.
Two hearts eagerly pulse as one... Their souls entwined, their journey begun.

BTW, this poem concerns the original Stregan belief system......approximately in the time frame of the Druids in Britain....though this locale is southern Italy (what is to become a unified Italy anyway) in the "boot" portion of that country.....
Stregheria
Grottoes of awareness, resounding with the crystal sound... Of sweet pure voices singing there, waiting to be found.
Innocence in its varied guises, displayed for pristine divine pleasure... In all its varied permutations, images that ancient Goddess treasures! Gentle Stregan generation, survivors of the darker times... Still practice careful majik sendings, reciting arcane power rhymes.
Listen as the little ones, chosen on their birthing beds... Sing the ancient melodies, repeating what the Goddess said. Oh Mother in your lofty aerie, receive this offering from our hearts... We seek your blessed intervention, we claim the knowlege you impart.
Remember ancient Calabria, when her forests reigned supreme?... Before your teachings were perverted, before misguided papal schemes? Long before Arcadians, came slinking to our shores... We remember sacred Mother, the knowlege that you taught before.
Both sides of majik doth require, that the Goddess and her lover... Once again unite together, in hopes your faithful can discover... Forgotten power once obtained... Rites once lost... .. must be regained.
Rise again and walk among us, look again upon our faces... Renounce the slumber of the ancients, reclaim all your holy places. Too long mankind has forgotten, the awful price your wrath exacts... Too long since your sorrow claimed you, time now for you to react.
Pillars of creation groan, as dear hallowed Mother wakens... Too long since her teachings prospered, long ago she was forsakened... Now her time comes 'round again... Free at last... .. no longer chained.
Fearsome mother of Diana, we seek your blessing once again... Gathered here upon the Sabbat, chanting your sacrosanct refrain.
